Expensive property in Montreal

I decided to write an article on the most expensive property (ies) in Montreal. Why? Because I noticed that a lot of people are using that search term and landing on my site. I often go into my real estate agent software and peruse the richy rich sections of town and see how everyone is decorating, and exactly what you get for one million dollars these days.

So how many expensive homes are there on the Island of Montreal? Right now there are 299 active properties that are worth one million and over (There are 375 in Vancouver, B.C. , and “more than 500″, in Toronto) The most expensive home right now is in Senneville for $10,900,000. You’re getting a 100,000sq’ lot, on the water of course and there are a ton of pictures and a description that will get your mouth watering wishing you had the bucks.

Generally speaking, there are more expensive homes in the center part of montreal than the outskirts, places like Senneville, Beaconsfield and St-Laurent to name a few. There are, however, quite a bit in Westmount. The illustrious richy, rich place itself. The second most expensive place on the market is a grand stone manor in Westmount on the Boulevard for $5,800,000. You only get 10,000sq’ of land though. It’s very beautiful, modern, renovated with gorgeous gardens.
